Live Christmas Trees

Live trees are a fun way to celebrate the holidays! They can require a little more attention and care to maintain but are well worth the effort. Choosing live Christmas Trees gives you greenery that can be enjoyed even after the holidays are over!

Live Christmas Trees while green are in their own form of a dormant state.  For best results and to maintain their dormant state place them in a cool spot.  It's best to avoid spots next to vents, heaters, stoves and fireplaces.

Generally, it is best to only bring your tree indoors for 1-2 weeks. In some cases if placed in a very cool spot they can be enjoyed indoors for 3-4 weeks.

When choosing the perfect spot to display your tree, try to pick a spot with bright indirect sunlight.  Avoid direct sunlight.

Your live tree won't require a lot of water when indoors. Be sure to lightly water as needed to ensure it doesn't dry out. Drying out or overwatering may cause the plant to fail. Place a tray or decorative pot under it to catch any excess water.

After the festive fun is over, it is time to plant! Dig a hole the same depth as the soil in the pot and the width twice as wide as the container.  You may choose to keep the plant in your garage, shed or enclosed porch for a few days to acclimate back to the cold weather again before planting.  Water thoroughly once planted.  Check your tree throughout the winter and water as needed.
